Mommy Makeover with Breast Lift Surgery

A mommy makeover is liposuction of the abdomen with tummy tuck, combined with breast enhancement surgery. The breast enhancement surgery may be:

• Breast enhancement surgery with fat transfer or fat sculpting of the breast.Typically, the fat harvested from the liposuction of the abdomen can be used to augment the breasts.

• Breast augmentation surgery with saline or silicone implants.

• Breast lift surgery.

• Combination of these procedures.

In the first case below with a mommy makeover was performed with a Benelli breast lift. Sometimes breast augmentation with implants or fat transfer will not be enough to lift excessively droopy breasts. In these cas-es, a breast lift procedure is needed.Breast lift surgery may be performed with or without simultaneous fat breast enlargement, fat sculpting or breast implants. In case 1 below, the breast lift.procedure was performed without a breast implant. In case 2 below, the breast lift procedure was performed with a silicone breast im-plant.

Case 1: No breast implants were used because this patient did not want any breast implants. Here the tummy tuck and liposuction is combined with a Benelli breast lift only. With breast lift surgery, the final breast size is reduced by ½-1 cup size. Here the breast size was reduced from a DD to D cup. In this Benelli breast lift, it was necessary to make a vertical incision down the midline of both breasts to remove the excess skin.

Case 2: If a Benelli breast lift is combined with an implant or breast fat transfer, the final cup size can remain the same or larger because the breast im-plant compensates for the volume loss of the Ben-elli breast lift. By using an implant with a Benelli lift, it is often possible to avoid the vertical breast incision-as in case 2 shown here. Notice that in a Benelli breast lift, there is always acircular cookie-cutter incision around the areola (nipple). However when this circular incision is placed within the-colored portion of the areola, as opposed to the out-er border of the areola,it is easy to camouflage.
