Laser Resurfacing for Acne Scars

The patient shown here has scarring from acne. There is no discoloration of the skin. Since the acne is not active, there is no role for topical or oral medicationsto counteract micro-comedone formation, sebum production, and inflammation. Thus there are no benefits to chronic retinoid and antibiotic use in this patient. In this case, all that is needed is Scar tissue remodeling by Pixel high powered 2940nm Erbium:Yag laser, which resurfaces the scar tissue.alt

Laser Resurfacing for Scars and Stretch Marks

In the scar of the arm shown here, there is both scarring and discoloration which requires combination therapy. Melanin discoloration is first treated with Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT) light in the 540-950 nm spectrum to destroy melanin. Scar tissue is remodeled by Pixel high powered 2940nm Erbium:Yag laser, which resurfaces the scar tissue.

Keloid formation and discoloration may occur after breast reduction or lift. Once again, melanin discoloration is first treated with Advanced Fluorescence Technology (AFT) light in the 540-950 nm spectrum, which destroys melanin. Next, ccar tissue is remodeled by Pixel high powered 2940nm Erbium:Yag laser, which resurfaces the scar tissue.
