For One Weekn STOP Using

  • Retin-A, Renova (tretinoin), Tazorac or Avage (tazarotene), Differin (adapalene) and any other retinoids such as retinol.
  • Waxing, electrolysis, depilatories.
  • Masques,loofahs and other sponges
  • Other exfoliating or resurfacing treatments

Two days Before Chemical Peel

  • No injectables
  • Use glycolic acid cleanser (not soap and water) to cleanse the face for best results. Oil from the skin reduces the penetration of chemical peels. Water does not adeqautely remove oil from the skin (oil and water don’t mix). A glycolic acid cleanser is supeior to water. If your forget to wash with a glycolic cleanser, our if your skin is oily, our staff will pre-treat your skin with an enzymatic degreaser for 3-5 minutes before your peel.
  • Some chemical peels may be left on the face. Other chemical peels (like lactic acid and glycolic acid) will need to be neutralized with a Glo neutralizer.
